Description

Due to below-freezing conditions tomorrow and wind gusts likely, we are canceling the event due to weather conditions.

Join the City of Olympia and partners in celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a volunteer service project at Squaxin Park. We will be restoring crucial habitats to their intended state and improving trail surfaces. Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Dress for the weather and wear your boots! We will meet at a small shelter in the park's southeast area. See the map below and directional signs will be posted.
For all work parties, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet and muddy. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. An adult must accompany youth under the age of 14 and all youth under 18 years of age must have an online waiver signed electronically by a parent/guardian. All ages are welcome to participate!

Please arrive 10 minutes early to park and sign in. For more information, call 360-753-8365 or email us at parkstewardship@ci.olympia.wa.us
