In October, the City of Olympia Park Stewardship and Thurston Conservation District co-hosted a volunteer work party for Orca Recovery Day. 85 community members came together to restore the shoreline of Budd Inlet at West Bay Park. Let's continue creating a better habitat for local wildlife by removing invasive plant species and restoring Garfield Nature Trail. Register online with Thurston Conservation District, click here! For all work parties, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet and muddy. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. An adult must accompany youth under the age of 14 and all youth under 18 years of age must have an online waiver signed electronically by a parent/guardian, located on the right side of this page.
