Time 9:30 a.m. -12 p.m.

Description

New project! Join staff and stewards as we focus on removing invasive single-seeded Hawthorne. This small flowering/berrying tree displaces native vegetation and forms impenetrable thickets that can change the ecosystem of forests. Meet at the “Philosopher” statue/picnic table on the mulched trail in the southeastern corner of LBA Park. The park is located at 3333 Morse-Merryman Rd. SE. Plenty of parking available.

For all work parties, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet and muddy. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. An adult must accompany youth under the age of 14 and all youth under 18 years of age must have an online waiver signed electronically by a parent/guardian, located on the right side of this page.  All ages are welcome to participate!

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign in.
