Show your support for Earth Day by participating in a restoration project at Squaxin Park! The City of Olympia is teaming up with the PARC Foundation of Thurston County and local Lions Clubs to celebrate Earth Day in style with a fun environmental restoration project removing English ivy. Thanks to Lions Club donations, the school with the most student volunteers will win $1000 for their school! Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Register today for this free event and show your support!
The park is located at 2600 East Bay Drive NE. Meet at kitchen/shelter #2. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to park and sign in. Carpooling, drop-off, or alternative transportation is strongly recommended, as parking is limited.
For all work parties, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet and muddy. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. An adult must accompany youth under age 14, and all youth under age 18 must have a waiver completed and signed by a parent or guardian. All ages are welcome!
